CLASS OF 1973 REUNION WEEK

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW!

The Reunion Committee is looking forward to seeing everyone this week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

For those of you who do not travel the northeast side of Indy regularly, there is major road construction in the area.  The I-69/I-465 interchange is being reconstructed so there are temporary lanes and concrete barriers.  Perhaps more impactful is emergency lane repairs underway on I-465 North from 38th Street to Fall Creek Road.  During the evening rush, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, expect a 15 minute delay traveling northbound I-465 from the I-70 interchange.  From all directions it would be wise to leave a little early, for all of the activities, so you don't miss any of the fun!

The Gathering at The Grill is Thursday, 9/21, 6 - 9 pm.  Your classmates will provide the fun and friendship, food and drinks are on your own.

The 50th Reunion Banquet on Friday, 9/22, begins with the Meet & Greet from 5:30 - 7 pm.  A class picture will be taken at 6:45 pm outside in front of The Garrison.  Please plan to be outside to make the picture complete.  Dinner and celebration activities begin at 7:00 pm.  

Raffle tickets will be available throughout the evening for $5 each, cash only.  Many great gifts have been donated so don't miss out!  All proceeds will be used for future reunion and meet & greet activities.

Two beautiful quilts have been handcrafted for the occasion by classmate Carole Dyar Campbell.  A separate card raffle will be held for the quilts, $10 per card, cash only.  All proceeds will be used for future reunion and meet & greet activities.

A cash bar will be available during the evening, cash or credit cards will be accepted.

The LCHS Tour kicks off at 10:00 am on Saturday, 9/23.  Enter at Door 11 on the west side of the school.  You'll be amazed at the changes!

THE EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING!

In just 45 days the Class of 1973 will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our graduation from Lawrence Central High School.  It will be a grand weekend of remembering good times, reuniting with lifelong friends, and celebrating all we have accomplished in these five decades.  You don't want to miss it!

To date 100 classmates have joined this Class of 1973 website, but 508 have not.  Help us spread the word!  Reach out to any classmates you still have contact with and post on social media sites you use.  Invite them to visit www.lawrencecentral1973.com to complete their profile so they can remain in contact with their classmates.  Invite them to make their reservations for the reunion weekend activities. And ask them to help spread the word.  The time is short!

In three weeks, by August 21, 2023, the committee must give The Garrison a preliminary attendee count for the Reunion Banquet.  After that date there will be limited opportunities to add attendees so, if you plan to attend, it's best to make your reservation now!  The reunion committee thanks you!

50th CLASS REUNION DONATIONS

The LCHS Class of 1973 Reunion Committee needs your help and support.  The members of the Reunion Committee each made generous donations to establish this website and make the initial venue deposit at The Garrison at Ft. Harrison State Park.  As we continue to plan there are additional costs such as bar, food, and sound system deposits, decorations, door prizes, and reunion mementos.  In addition, we want to honor the Class of 1973 by making a donation to the Lawrence Township Foundation.  And finally, we hope to assist classmates who find it a financial hardship to attend the reunion.  To help, use the DONATIONS button on the right side of this page.  If you would like to offer a challenge to your classmates, or offer a matching gift opportunity, send it to us using the CONTACT US feature on the left of this page.  Thanks in advance for your support!
